Rozaina Adam, Member of Parliament for Meedhoo Constituency has said that school halls have always been issued for the use of events conducted by political parties.
Rozaina said this in response to Member of Parliament for Villimale Constituency, Ahmed Usham’s remarks that schools can be used for the needs of the MDP, but the Ministry of Education does not give permission to issue schools for the requirements of other political parties.
Rozaina said that school halls are always given for such activities of parties. Noting that school halls are not given for campaign rallies, Rozaina said that, Usham also would be aware of the fact that school halls have been given to conduct events such as workshops, national assembly meetings and congresses.
Rozaina has asked them to request for the school halls at the earliest, if required.
