Social workers from S.Meedhoo cleaned the swimming track area today.
The event was carried out today morning 06 30 hrs. Speaking to AO News the organizing committee stated the beach area and surrounding near the track area has been cleaned. They further stated the area was cleaned in hopes of keeping the area waste free as people of all ages go swimming to the area and is famous among islanders to carry out social activities in the area.
The event was carried out successfully with the help of different organisations established in Meedhoo. Special highlight was given to Cheynu Jamiyya, Mulimathi organisation, Hulhumeedhoo police station and Hulhumeedhoo WAMCO for all the assistance they provide.
After a successful event today the organising committee took a decision to carry out the cleaning program on a weekly basis. Organising committee of the event urges more individuals to join the upcoming events.
