According to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, if the opposition gains a majority in parliament, it will be challenging for the administration to govern.
At Sultan Park’s second forum in the “Ask” series, President Muizzu made this statement. He remarked that if the legislative majority were held by people who oppose the administration, it would be impossible for it to run its affairs. The people will determine how to handle the parliamentary elections on March 17; the government is proceeding correctly.
He claimed that parliament was unjustly impeding the decisions of the current administration. He brought up the fact that parliament had not given its approval to several of the ministers the president had nominated.
The first president to accept questions from the people directly was Dr. Muizzu. With no previous written permission, the public was able to ask questions in real time during the forum.
