National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) has revealed all 13 foreign nationals tested positive for COVID-19 have fully recovered in Maldives.

Speaking at a press conference held on Sunday, Dr. Moosa Murad announced 2 individuals who tested positive for the virus full recovered, raising the total of recovered cases to 13 in Maldives. Dr. Murad stated all individuals who recover will be released after completion of the 30-days quarantine period. He added there are current 2 active cases of COVID-19 in Maldives and both the individuals are locals who returned to the country from United Kingdom. He further added the two locals being treated at Velidhoo, Alif Alif are stable and only shows mild symptoms of the virus.

Maldives has reported a total of 17 case. They are 5 from Kuredu Island Resort, 2 from Sandies Bathala Maldives, 2 from Kuramathi Island Resort, 2 from Anantara Dhigu Resort Maldives, 2 from Island Safari, 2 locals who traveled from UK and 2 Italian nationals who departed to their country before receiving the test results.

Moreover, Health Protection Agency (HPA) stated a total of 18 individuals are in isolation after showing COVID-19 like symptoms and 868 individuals are in quarantine as of today.
