Maldives has recorded an additional 1,501 new positive Covid-19 cases today, confirmed the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA).
According to the latest statistics publicized by HPA, 1,229 from the Great Male’ region and 265 from inhabited islands and 08 people from operating resorts tested positive for Covid-19 today.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 positive cases in the Maldives up to 38,520.
HPA’s statistics state the 1,501 positive cases were detected from 6,208 samples taken today.
The number of active Covid-19 cases have risen to 11,629, amongst which 247 people are being treated in the hospitals.
