The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has issued white alert across the Maldives due to bad weather.
The white alert has been issued for islands between H.A. Atoll and Addu City from 07:30 a.m. till 01:30 p.m. today. According to MET Office, heavy rain and thunderstroms with gusts of 40 mph are expected in these areas during these hours.
Furthermore, MET Office has also issued yellow alert to islands between N. Atoll and V. Atoll from 09:00 – 13:00 today. Torrential rain and thunderstorms with gust winds of 45 mph and rough seas are expected in these areas during these times.
