A young man who went lobstering has been reported missing in Addu City. MNDF has said that Southern Area Command Coastguard Fourth Squadrom is searching for the youth who went missing after he went lobstering in the southern side of Gan, Addu City.
The incident was reported to MNDF Coast Guard at 10:10 p.m. last night. The 18-year-old, who went missing from the southern part of the town, was identified as Mohammed Naeesh, 30 years, of Kuredhumaage, S. Maradhoo. Naeesh was wearing a white long-sleeved t-shirt when he went missing.
MNDF Southern Area Command, Coast Guard Fourth Squadron’s fast interceptor craft Dhoshimeyna and Harbourcraft 105 are searching for Naeesh along with a team of divers from MNDF.
MNDF has asked vessels traveling in the area to check for any news about Naeesh. Anyone with information about him is asked to call the MNDF Coast Guard toll free number 191 or 3395981 or fax to 3391665.
