President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the development of the Addu City Hulhudhoo Meedhoo Bridge, Gan International Airport, tourism expansion, and the construction of a seaplane hub will commence this year. He made the remarks while speaking on Monday with the residential community of Hulhudhoo Meedhoo in Addu City.
The President stated that he commits to his pledges, sincerely intending to deliver on the commitments. The President then committed to upgrading Hulhudhoo Meedhoo Health Centre to a hospital. He went on to state that the necessary resources would be established at the Health Centre and emphasised the development of the Addu Equitorial Hospital to higher standards, ensuring enhanced services and eliminating the need for travel to Malé City for healthcare services. In addition, the President affirmed that reclamation, road development, and other necessities specific to Hulhudhoo Meedhoo and Addu City residents would be carried out.
A high-level Government delegation accompanies the President on his tour of several islands in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, and the North and South Huvadhu Atolls.
