Maldives has recorded a whopping 1,204 new positive Covid-19 cases yesterday, confirmed the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA).

According to the latest statistics publicized by HPA, 961 from the Great Male’ region, 235 from inhabited islands and 08 people from operating resorts tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 positive cases in the Maldives up to 37,019.

HPA’s statistics state the 1,204 positive cases were detected from 5,598 samples taken yesterday.

The number of active Covid-19 cases have risen to 10,376, amongst which 244 people are being treated in the hospitals.
