Maldives has recorded an additional death related to Covid-19 today.
According to the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA), a 75 year old Maldivian female admitted at the Emergency Room of India Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) was declared dead at 4 a.m. today morning
This is the 85th Covid-19 death in the Maldives.
Maldives has seen a rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the past couple of weeks. Yesterday alone, 1,091 tested positive for the disease across the country and the number of hospitalized patients stands at 250.
So far, Maldives has recorded 35,815 positive cases and 26,299 recoveries.
