A 62 year old Maldivian male being treated at Dharumavantha Hospital’s ICU has passed away this morning.
This is the 62nd Covid-related death in the Maldives.
Maldives has seen a rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the past couple of weeks. Yesterday alone, 118 tested positive for the disease across the country and the number of hospitalized patients stands at 170.
So far, Maldives has recorded 19,597 positive cases and 17,132 recoveries.
