An additional 126 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives.
According to the latest statistics publicized by the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA), 98 from the Great Male’ region, 19 from inhabited islands and 09 people from operating resorts tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 positive cases in the Maldives up to 16,909.
HPA’s statistics state the 99 positive cases were detected from 3,944 samples taken yesterday. A total of 438,240 samples, including repeated samples have been tested for Covid-19 up to date.
The number of active Covid-19 cases have risen to 2,075, amongst which 204 people are being treated in the hospitals.
