President Dr Mohamed Muizzu stated that the Island of Kon’dey is well-suited to harvesting and yielding agricultural products on a large scale. The President made the remarks while speaking with the residents of GA. Kon’dey Wednesday evening.
At the meeting held at Kon’dey School, the President stated that strengthening the agriculture sector is a policy that reflects the Administration’s focus on economic growth. He noted that the policy to boost the agriculture sector is an ambitious and vital policy towards achieving food security for the entire Maldivian population.
The President relayed that numerous resorts in the tourism sector import agricultural products and that it is a long-term goal of the Administration to be able to cater to this demand in the future.
President Dr Muizzu additionally committed to working in the best interest of the residential population of Kon’dey Island to achieve their desired goals.
