President Dr Mohamed Muizzu appointed Supreme Court Justice Hon. Uz Husnu Al Suood as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
During the ceremony at the President’s Office Thursday afternoon, the President presented the appointment letter to Hon. Uz Husnu Al Suood. Hon. Uz Husnu Al Suood signed his appointment letter upon being sworn in.
The President made the appointment per Article 158(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Article 3(2) of the Judicial Service Commission Act.
Prior to his appointment, Hon. Uz Husnu Al Suood took his oath in the presence of the President, with Supreme Court Justice Hon. Uz Ali Rasheed Hussain administering the oath.
