Member of Parliament for Feydhoo constituency, Mohamed Nihad has signed up for the ruling party, People’s National Congress (PNC).
MP Nihad signed up for PNC during the PPM/PNC assembly held at Dharubaaruge Friday night. Nihad, who won the Feydhoo seat after defeating independent candidate, Ibrahim Didi, was a leading figure in campaign of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in the recent election.
In addition to Nihad, several other MPs of MDP also signed up for PPM/PNC. While some MPs have decided to resign from MDP due to the unrest within the party, MP for Maradhoo constituency, Ibrahim Shareef (Mavotaa Shareef) has also resigned from MDP.
