A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by Regional Airports Company Limited (RCL) and National University of the Maldives (MNU) to carry out an air cargo study.
The managing director of Regional Airports Company Limited, Ahmed Mubeen, stated that a national research aimed at evaluating the difficulties in distributing food and other essential supplies to various regions of the nation will be conducted in 16 weeks. Mubeen made the comments during a briefing regarding the air freight research that was held today at MNU.
The Maldives is highly dependent on tourism, according to Mubeen, who also suggested that these issues can be resolved in light of the findings.
Mubeen pointed out that drones are used for cargo transportation in developed nations and expressed the hope of launching more extensive drone services in the Maldives.
Mubeen conveyed his appreciation to MNU for carrying out such a form of research and affirmed its ability to do so.
