Mauroof Ahmed, formerly the Technical Director of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) and most recently the Managing Director of the Sports Corporation, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the FAM Awards Committee. Known as “Maatte,” he is also celebrated as one of the most successful coaches in Maldivian football history.
Supporting him is Abdul Hameed Abdul Ghafoor (Addo), serving as Vice-Chairman. The committee also includes Ahmed Abeer Ismail, Mohamed Shaheeb, and the current National Team Coach.
The FAM Awards will recognize achievements across 12 categories, including Best Male and Female Football Players, Most Popular Player, Best Goalkeeper, and more, based on seasonal results and individual performances.
