As part of his strategy of collaborating closely with the people, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu left today for a two-day visit to Thiladhunmathi and Miladhunmadulu.

President Dr. Muizzu has departed on a six-day visit to the islands of Haa Alif, Haa Dhaal Atoll, Shaviyani, and Noon Atolls, according to the President’s Office.

Meetings with island councils, women’s welfare committees are scheduled for the duration of the President’s visit, according to the President’s Office. These meetings are intended to address the most critical development initiatives and pressing public needs.

A senior government delegation will go with him. Following his inauguration, this will be the president’s third trip.

He most recently travelled to Fuvahmulah City, Addu City, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, and Gaafu Alif Atoll. He had already been to a couple islands in Kulhudhuffushi.

He has previously stated on multiple occasions that he will carry out the wishes of the people. The only thing he would do, he added, was to travel to the islands and meet the councils, rather than the councils coming to him.
