Maldivian, the flag carrier of the Maldives, is pleased to announce the resumption of its services between Hanimaadhoo International Airport and Trivadrum, India, starting from April 12th April 2024. Restoring this strategic flight further solidifies Maldivian’s commitment to connecting the Maldivian northern territory with key regional destinations, enhancing travel options for passengers in the north, and promoting cultural and economic exchange between the two nations.
Commenting on the launch of the new destination, Mr. Ibrahim Iyas, Managing Director of Maldivian, noted the significance of the relaunch of this route. “This route greatly benefits our customers and the economy of the northern area of the Maldives. It reflects our commitment to improve air connectivity in the north region which will boost to the travel trade and support the socioeconomic growth of the Maldives. We would like to thank all the authorities and partners involved for supporting and making this new route possible, with special acknowledgement to the Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL)”.
The service resumption from Hanimaadhoo to Trivandrum represents an exciting milestone for both Maldivian and the travelers seeking seamless connectivity between the Maldives and South India. With its rich history, diverse culture, and thriving business opportunities, Trivandrum will add value to the Maldivian’s ever-growing route network.
Ticket bookings for Hanimaadhoo and Trivandrum route will be available from 6th March 2024 from all Maldivian’s sales channels including our website, mobile application, and our ticketing office, allowing travelers to plan and secure their journeys well in advance. As part of our commitment to provide convenience and flexibility, Maldivian will operate two weekly flights between Hanimaadhoo and Trivandrum, departing every Friday and Monday. The flight schedule has been designed to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travelers during the peak travel periods.
Flights from Hanimaadhoo to Trivandrum will operate on Fridays and Mondays at 01:15 while return flights from Trivandrum to Hanimaadhoo will depart at 04:00 a.m.
