To incentivize courts to expedite the resolution of domestic abuse cases, the Prosecutor General’s Office has mandated that the court where domestic violence complaints are filed immediately sends a letter.

According to the statement, the Prosecutor General’s Office “In order to ensure justice for victims of violence and to encourage a swift trial and speedy disposal of cases in the event of criminal prosecution for an act of domestic violence, the PG  has now made arrangements to send automatic letters to the court where the case has been filed.”

To guarantee adequate safeguarding and protection for the victim of domestic abuse, the PGs have been implementing a number of initiatives. On the PG office website, the victim can view the status of the case, the scheduled days, and the events that occurred during those days.

PGs are implementing several initiatives with the help of technology to guarantee justice for victims of violence. The PG office states that their objective is to enlighten the victim about how the criminal justice system operates, alert them of the state’s efforts to secure justice for them, and encourage their involvement in the case.
