Chief Superintendent Ahmed Nafees, the acting head of the Crime Investigation Command, has stated that the violence in parliament is being investigated.

He spoke at a news conference that the local police had set up yesterday. The heat prevented the session to approve ministers scheduled for January 28 from happening. The encounter descended into a fistfight.

Providing specifics about the event, Nafees stated that the parliament house had filed a police complaint over the violence that erupted in the parliament that day. Nafees also brought up the fact that a few of the MLAS hurt in the altercation had already filed police reports.

Authorities declared that they were looking into the threats that the wounded lawmakers and other members of parliament received during the course of the day’s session.

However, the police indicated that given the state of the case at the outset, it was difficult to provide more specifics.
