Ayesha Nurain Janah has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). She is the eldest daughter of Mohamed Ali Janah, the Principal Advisor to the President on Trade and Investment.
Nurain is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience in management. She is the Executive Vice Chair at Janah’s Hotels & Resorts Investments Maldives (HARIM), multi-industry business with a portfolio spanning hotels and resorts, construction technology, and marine products.
She currently serves as Trustee of Foundation North, a philanthropic grant funder. She also has experience in managing restructuring, insolvencies and bankruptcies having worked as a Manager at EY New Zealand’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team.
Nurain is the Founder of Rehendhi Coaching & Consulting, a social enterprise working to innovate executive leadership by centring collectivist cultures and indigenous frameworks. She is also a trained transformational coach certified by the Coach Masters Academy. Nurain is also Founder & CEO of Authenticity Aotearoa, a charity empowering women of colour to express their authentic selves and working to create culturally competent and inclusive workplaces.
