The inaugural flight of Beond, the world’s first luxury airline, was carried out by Simdi Group and United Arab Emirates investment business Arabex.
On Monday afternoon, Beond’s inaugural flight touched down at Velana International Airport, receiving an enthusiastic reception and a water salute from the VIA.
Beond Airlines intends to operate flights to sixty locations worldwide, encompassing Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
The first luxury airline in the world, Beond Airlines, set out to provide high-class air travel by focusing on the luxury tourism sector. The airline is already accepting reservations for flights and plans to start operating shortly in November.
“The first trip will be to three destinations when Beond’s official flights begin next month,” Beond CEO Tero Taskila told reporters. They are scheduled for trips toRiyadh in Saudi Arabia, Munich in Germany and Zurich in Switzerland.”
Tero stated that there will be two weekly flights from the three nations.
“Beond calls this nation home. For the next five years, all Beond flights will be conducted in the Maldives. “We plan to begin our journey to 60 destinations in the next five years, and we will use 33 aircraft to carry out those flights,” Taro stated.
The starting price for the flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is $1,700 each trip. The starting price for travel to Germany is $2,000. The starting price for travel to Switzerland is $3,000.
The CEO of Beyond predicts that the company will create about 200 employment in the nation in its first year of operation.
He claimed that the Maldives will be the launchpad for six more locations during next year. These include Beijing and Shanghai in China, Bangkok in Thailand, Dubai, and Milan in Italy.
As many locals as possible would be given work possibilities, according to Simdi CEO Dr. Mariam Shakeela. She added that the airline hopes to hire 50% local workers by the end of the year and has already given many Maldivian’s opportunities for employment.
According to Aviators Maldives, Beond Airlines will operate flights using Neo Airbus A319, A320, and A321.
The interior of the airplane has been upgraded to state-of-the-art standard using premium comfort 68 sheets.
The airline intends to provide a number of services to travelers, including home baggage check-in, airport premium lounge access, and transportation to the airport in a private luxury vehicle with a personal driver.
Europe, Asia, and the Middle East will be among the 60 locations to which Beond Airlines aims to operate flights.
