Addu City Council said today that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has asked the people registered in the poor and needy registry to inform if their status has changed due to any reason such as:

  1. Persons registered in the poor and needy registry who do not currently reside in the city.
  2. Persons whose marital status has changed (married or divorced) since registration in the registry.
  3. Those whose living conditions have changed due to current employment.
  4. Deceased persons registered in the registry.
  5. A registered household, including a male / males who turns 18 years of age by 22 June 2023 or a person / persons who turns 65 years of age. (If these families wish to remain in the register, they must re-register in the poor register.)

Therefore, people enlisted in the poor and needy registry whose current status has changed for various reasons are requested to submit a letter to the Hithadhoo Town Office by 1400hrs on 17 June 2023.
