AIMS Diagnostic Care has opened a Department of Internal Medicine at their Feydhoo branch yesterday.

The Department of Internal Medicine was officially inaugurated by the Head of the Department, Dr. Al Sayed Taha Alspagh.

While there is a lack of supply of haematology specialists even in the biggest hospitals of Maldives, Dr. Al Sayed is one of the few doctors specialised in the area.

Managing Director of AIMS Diagnostic Care, Mr. Ali Ihusaan said that in addition to the in-house doctors of AIMS, specialists in the field working across the country will also consult at the clinic as visiting doctors. Moreover, Ihusaan also said that soon, patients can also get various tests of internal medicine done at the clinic.

AIMS has also launched 3D/4D scan service yesterday. With these scans, it is possible to identify any abnormalities in the fetus before the baby is born, and treatment for the same can be started early on.

AIMS has said that several such services will be introduced in the foreseeable future as well.

A new branch of AIMS was opened in Hulhudhoo, Addu City earlier this week. A general practitioner will consult at the new clinic every day of the week, while a specialist will consult at least once a week.

In addition to this, while patients can give samples for medical tests at the centre, they can also collect the results and reports for the same from the centre itself, without having to travel to Feydhoo.

AIMS Diagnostic Care, which aims to provide the best healthcare to citizens of Addu City, is party owned by Mohamed Naeem, a successful businessman, who is also a shareholder of Happy Market.
