Three persons were arrested with bottles of liquor in a joint operation conducted by the Police Intelligence and Mamigili Police Station.
The 21-year-old, 22-year-old and 26-year-old were arrested following a tip-off that they were in possession of liquor. The three men are all Maldivian men.
The operation was conducted on May 3 and 78 bottles of liquor were recovered from the suspects.
The accused were produced before the Mamigili Magistrate’s Court and remanded in custody for 10 days for further investigation.
The case is being investigated by the Mamigili Police Station.
