Police have received information that scam messages in the name of different companies claiming to be giving away Ramadan gifts are being circulated.
“It has been brought to the attention of the police, and the matter is being investigated,” the police stated in a tweet late last night. The police have warned people not to click on any of the links contained in these messages.

into the situation. We urge that you do not click on any of the links in these messages,” the police stated in the tweet.
Such scam links are always sent in the guise of different company promotions. There have also been reports of scam phone calls extorting money from a large number of individuals.
However, in such instances, the police do not provide the necessary cooperation.
