The Ministry of Finance has announced the tender for the construction of 200 housing units in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

The Ministry of Finance has canceled the bids submitted in connection with the announcement made on 24 March 2022 for the construction of 200 housing units in Hithadhoo and reopened the tender for this project.

As per the announcement released by the Ministry today, the bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Construction Industry Practitioners Regulation of the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, the Regulation for Determining the Amount of Construction Works Awarded by National Tenders and the Foreign Direct Investment Policy of the Ministry of Economic and Development.

In addition, the selection process will be conducted on the basis of National Competitive Bidding (NCB) rules. The requirements and evaluation criteria will be mentioned in the tender book.

A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred Rupees) is payable to participate in this bid. Payments will be accepted from 9 March 2023 to 3 April 2023, on weekdays from 8:00 to 14:00 (During Ramadan: 09:30 to 13:00) on the online payment portal of the Ministry of Finance – Bandeyripay (https://bandeyripay.finance .gov.mv). After payment, the name and address, contact number and e-mail address of the bidder and a copy of the payment receipt should be sent to the Ministry.

All documents relating to this work will be available for download in softcopy format from the website of this Ministry from 9th March 2023. It is the responsibility of the bidder to obtain the latest information issued in connection with this bid through the website.

Bid security for this project shall be MVR 1,100,000/- (One Million One Hundred Thousand Rufiyaa). The term of the bid security is 148 days from the date of bid opening.

Bids will be opened on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00:00 am at the National Tender Conference Hall, Ministry of Finance. Bids should be sealed in an envelope and bear the name of the bid, the date and time scheduled for opening and the name of the bidder.
