Canada was eliminated from the FIFA World Cup after a 4-1 loss to Croatia.

After a 36-year absence, Canada returned to the World Cup this year. The country first competed in the World Cup in 1986, losing all three matches and being eliminated from the group stage. In that tournament, they did not score a goal.

Croatia, which leads Group F, and Morocco, which is second, both have four points. Croatia came in first place due to the large number of profit goals. Belgium came in third place with three points. Canada, on the other hand, has no point.

Croatia and Belgium will meet in the final group match, while Morocco will play Canada. Belgium must now defeat Croatia to advance to the next round. However, the results of Canada and Morocco may give Belgium a chance.

In the second minute, Canada took the lead. Alphonso Davies scored this goal, which also happens to be  Canada’s first goal in World Cup history.

Canada launched numerous attacks early in the game, but Croatia improved and went on to win. Andrej  Kramarić of Croatia scored twice. Marko Livaja and Lovro Majer scored the other two goals.

Kramarić  equalized for Croatia in the 36th minute. Croatia had already scored but the goal, however, was ruled offside. Croatia added another goal before the halftime break. Livaja scored the goal.

Kramarić scored Croatia’s third goal in the 70th minute to seal the victory, he  slid the ball in from the sideline. Croatia’s final goal came in overtime which also happened to be  a two-player counter-attack.

In the World Cup’s final match, Spain will face Germany. Germany will be eliminated from the World Cup if they lose to Spain. Germany has also been eliminated from the 2018 World Cup group stage.
