The global tech giant Google has added Dhivehi to its Google Translate platform along with 23 additional languages spoken by more than 300 million people. With this addition, Google Translate now supports a total of 133 languages.
According to Google, this is a key technological milestone since they employ a machine learning model that helps to translate one language without even seeing an example. Although Google Translate is still far from perfect, according to the company, which notes that there are approximately 7,000 languages spoken worldwide. Google Translate has been assisting in breaking down language barriers and connecting communities all around the world for years.
