Usthaz Mohamed Aneel has been appointed to the post of State Minister at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs on Sunday.
In 2012, Aneel graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah with a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Shariah. He is now enrolling in the Maldives National University’s Master of Islamic Studies program (MNU).
He was most recently the head imam of Addu City’s Hithadhoo area.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs now has two state ministers, Aneel and Al-Sheikh Ismail Jamal.
