A suspect under police custody in Addu City Hithadhoo Police Station has attacked two police officers with Chemicals.
The Maldives Police Services has stated that the suspect threw a bleach toward two police officers and futher stated that incident occurred around 16:30 on Monday. According to Maldives Police Service the two officers are now receiving treatment in Addu Equatorial Hospital as the chemical reached the eyes of the police officers.
Maldives Police service has not commented further on why the suspect threw the bleach at the police officer or relieved how the suspects gained hold a bleach bottle. The police spoke person have stated that the incident is currently being investigated.
