Addu City Council has announced today that Addu Emergency Operations Centre (AEOC) will issue permits for essential travel within the connected towns of Addu City.
According to the announcement released by the Council, citizens can send a Viber message to AEOC on 7799851 to obtain the travel permits.
City Council has also advised to include the names and ID card numbers of the travelers, the vehicle number, purpose of travel and the time frame of the journey in the message.
Addu City has been placed under monitoring after a person who consulted the Flu Clinic tested positive for the coronavirus. Currently, the number of active Covid-19 cases in Addu City stands at 27.
