Addu City Council has decided to impose curfew on Addu City. However, City Council has not revealed any details regarding the curfew timings so far.

The curfew comes after the city was placed under monitoring by the Health Protection Agency (HPA), due to positive cases of Covid-19 being identified in Hithadhoo.

While the Council has decided to impose a curfew, the entire city has been placed under monitoring since 6th February 2021.

Hulhumeedhoo, Addu City was placed under monitoring last week after some expatriate workers at Hulhumeedhoo MTCC site tested positive for the coronavirus. Afterwards, two positive cases were identified from Hithadhoo Flu Clinic, leading to the citywide lockdown.
