Fuvahmulah Hospital has revealed that the young man who was injured in the accident on Naibu Thuhthu Hingun in Fuvahmulah City last night is now in stable condition.
In an interview with AO News, Manager of Fuvahmulah Hospital, Mohamed Lirar said the patient’s condition is stable but he is being treated in the ICU to closely monitor his condition. Meanwhile, Lirar said the young man suffered bleeding from his ears and nose and is preparations are underway to send him to Malé for further treatment as it has been assumed that he may have received injuries to his head.
Lirar said they are hoping to fly him to Malé by 11:30 a.m. today.
The injured has been identified as 38 year old Muznidha Mohamed from G.Dh. Vaadhoo who is a resident of Fuvahmulah City.
The accident occurred as Muznidha was riding on Naibu Thuhthu Hingun near Dhadimagu district when she hit a cat that crossed the road. Sources say that her son was also on the motorcycle with her at the time.
Although Muznidha’s son was also injured in this accident, his injuries are not serious.
