The Ministry of Finance yesterday paid the upcoming Ramadan allowance to government employees alongside February’s salary.
Every Maldivian employee is entitled to a minimum of MVR 3,000 as Ramadan allowance which should be paid before the first day of Ramadan. As per the Employment Act, employees can file a complaint with the Labour Relations Authority (LRA) if they do not receive this allowance.
Before the first day of Ramadan, every Dhvehi employee will be paid at least Rs 3,000 as Ramadan allowance. The Employment Act states that. If you do not receive the benefit, you should file a complaint with the Labor Relations Authority (LRA).
