One of the biggest communication service providers in the Maldives, Ooredoo Maldives, has declared that tomorrow morning will mark the start of the yearly Fun Run weekend.
Tomorrow’s events at Fun Run include the biggest and most thrilling 5K run, the first drone racing in the Maldives, and an Ooredoo music show with well-known Maldivian musicians.
The inaugural Ooredoo Drone Race 2023 will take place on Friday, December 22, at Hulhumale’ Central Park, Maldives, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
According to Ooredoo, two categories—Sky Walker (DJI non-FPV drones) and Sky Elite (FPV drone) pilots—will compete in the final race, which must be accomplished in the shortest amount of time.
The first, second, and third runners-up in the Sky Walker and Sky Elite categories of The Ooredoo Drone Race 2023 will also receive additional rewards.
The Ooredoo Fun Run is a lively 5-kilometer race that aims to entertain families and friends of all ages. It is one of the biggest and most enjoyable races in the nation. On December 22, 2023, the race will take place in Hulhumale’ from 3:30 pm to 6 pm.
Both novice and expert runners will be able to enjoy the thrill of the Fun 5K run. Every kilometre will culminate with a variety of entertaining stations with colour, water, and engaging obstacles.
Since there is no time limit for the race, competitors can finish by walking, jogging or dancing to the finish line. There will be a foam celebration, finisher medals and a music show to commemorate the completion of the 5K run at the finish line.
According to Ooredoo, the music event will begin at Hulhumale’ Central Park at 8:00 p.m., following the conclusion of the Fun Run, just like it does every year. According to Ooredoo, the music concert is open to all audiences and will showcase well-known artists.
According to Ooredoo, Habeys Boduberu Group, DeTune, Mira, Shambe, and Inma will also be featured.
Ooredoo claims that DJ Deedu and Zakitte will also be performing, and that Traffic Jam will also be making an appearance.
