Munim Anees, who was appointed as the State Minister of Tourism, has been dismissed from office after just four days.
President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu, appointed Munim to the post on Tuesday. The exact reason for his dismissal remains unclear.
Munim previously held a position at the High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia.
Besides Munim, Mohammed Fahmy Hassan, who was appointed as State Minister of Foreign Affairs on Monday, was also sacked four days after his appointment.
