The President of People’s National Congress (PNC), Abdul Raheem Abdulla (Adhurey) has written a letter to the President while protesting at the President’s Office today. In his letter, Adhurey stated that he has been unable to meet the President and has submitted his letter to the President’s Office.
In the letter addressed to the President, Adhurey said that the opposition coalition had been coming to meet the President for four days. The letter states that the coalition want to meet the President to share the concerns of the citizens with him.
Adhurey expressed his concerns in the letter regarding the fact that President seems to be in hiding while the opposition leader and former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom has been in jail for a long time, the country’s seas, lands and freedoms have been sold and that the Parliament has been brought to a halt.
In the letter, Adhurey said he had sent several letters requesting to meet the President. However, he had to write a letter with his own hands while at the President’s Office today after his efforts to meet the President under the official protocol of the Office failed.
