H.E. President Mr Wavel Ramkalawan and First Lady Mrs Linda Ramkalawan of the Republic of Seychelles concluded their state visit to the Maldives on Friday and departed to Seychelles.
President Ramkalawan arrived for the state visit on Sunday. On Monday, President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed welcomed the Seychellois President and First Lady to the Maldives. During the visit, the two presidents presided over official talks, exchanged agreements establishing frameworks for cooperation in several areas, and delivered a joint statement.
President Solih and First Lady Fazna hosted a state luncheon for President and First Lady Ramkalawan. Before the luncheon, First Lady Fazna met with Mrs Ramkalawan, and then they visited the Fiyavathi state care facility in Hulhumalé. H.E. Vice President Faisal Naseem also called on President Ramkalawan.
The joint communiqué issued by the two countries following President Ramkalawan’s visit reaffirmed their enduring friendship and determination to continue working together in mutually beneficial areas.
