Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture has decided to organize “Fisheries Expo 2019” to mark the 39th Fishermen’s Day of the Maldives.
Fisheries Ministry says that the aim of this expo is to showcase and provide information about various tools and equipment used in fishing and also to spread knowledge about the products of the fishing industry, all under one roof.
Additionally, participants can also advertise items related to fishing and sell their products as well. The ministry also says that producers of fish commodities will also have the opportunity to market their products through the expo.
Fisheries Expo 2019 will be held at Huravee School, Hulhumale’ from 06th to 08th December, 2019. The due date for applying to participate in the expo is 28th November, 2019.
Items that can be included in the expo include fish and fish products, fishing tools and equipment and items related to the fishing industry.
Maldives celebrates Fishermen’s Day on the 10th of December every year.
