National Centre for the Arts (NCA) has announced the nominations for the upcoming Dhivehi Film Awards 9.

The award ceremony will be held on 15^th November, Friday and a total of 12 feature movies and one short film are competing for this year’s awards.

While awards will be given in a total of 24 categories this year, nominations from only six categories have been announced so far. The six categories for which the nominations were announced last night are Best Actor (Female), Best Actor (Male), Best Supporting Actor (Female), Best Supporting Actor (Male), Best Director and Best Film.

According to the nominations that have been announced so far, the movie “Vakin Loabin” has received the most number of nominations. In addition to this, the leading actress competing for the Best Actress award is Azza, with nominations from two movies.
