“The ongoing Covid 19 pandemic has compelled many industries, including the education system to switch to digital. As a community focused company, we believe that it is important to support students to continue their education virtually as they stay safe at home, and remain engaged with their teachers and fellow students online. We are more than happy to partner with Ministry of Education to enable easier access to internet, in order to continue education from homes during the current situation.” said Managing Director & CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Mr. Najib Khan.

Students and teachers will be able to access Google Meet, Google Classroom, Google Drive and Filaa.moe.gov.mv via these add-ons. To activate the special add-on packages, customers should have an active SuperNet, Faseyha Broadband or Faseyha MiFi package.

Ooredoo Maldives has provided free data for students and teachers to facilitate online classes since the pandemic began. The company is prioritizing the provision of special data plans via Broadband services based on past user behavior, as most students and teachers join online classes from home over Wi-Fi.

Ooredoo Maldives has undertaken several initiatives to support communities since the beginning of the pandemic and will continue to work closely with the government of Maldives, HPA Maldives and other key stakeholders to support the nationwide awareness efforts for Covid-19.
