Malé, Maldives – The Chief Executive Officer of the Malé City Group of Hospitals (MCGH), Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, has underscored the critical role of doctors in sustaining the country’s healthcare system.

In a message shared on social media to mark National Doctors’ Day, Haleem extended his appreciation to medical professionals for their continued dedication and service.

He commended doctors for their commitment despite the daily challenges they face, describing their work as a noble and humanitarian service that plays a vital role in saving lives. Haleem also acknowledged the personal sacrifices made by doctors, including time away from their families, in order to care for patients.

Haleem further expressed gratitude to doctors for their contribution to the growth and development of services at MCGH, assuring that efforts will continue to enhance and strengthen healthcare delivery.

National Doctors’ Day in the Maldives commemorates Dr Abdulla Abdul Hakeem, marking his entry into national service on 18 April 1964.
