A car caught fire on a road in Hulhumale’ on Tuesday evening, with flames concentrated on the engine area of a white car, as seen in a video.
Firefighters from the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) extinguished the blaze, according to the MNDF’s official website.
The Hulhumale’ Fire Station received the report at approximately 22:48, and the fire was under control by 23:18. No injuries were reported.
This is not an isolated incident. Previous car fires occurred in Hulhumale’ on December 24 and December 11, with no injuries reported, but significant vehicle damage.
