This year biggest entertainment event “Dhivehi Fannanunge Muziky Eid” organized by the National Center for the Arts (NCA) is scheduled to be held in Addu City Hithadhoo district. NCA will hold the show on the night of July 27 and 28 to mark this year’s Independence Day.
The National Centre for the Arts (NCA) and Addu City Council, the Maldives’ southernmost city, are hosting the event highlighting local talent. Along with several music bands and several artists from Addu City, the performance will feature veteran bands like Traphic Jam and Equatic Vibe.
For the first time, the spectacle, which will be staged to commemorate this year’s Independence Day, will take place on an island outside of Male’ City. Minister Yumna Abdul Gayoom is also expected to join the events in Addu City.
The “Dhivehi Fannanunge Muziky Eid” event will be hosted in the same location as the last eid show and will utilize the same setup and equipment.
A series of events, including concerts and fireworks were held earlier this month to commemorate Eid al Adha. This helped Addu City establish itself as a regional hub for festive celebrations. The city is holding its second significant music festival in quick succession to celebrate Independence Day.
