President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided\nto extend the closure of all government offices and education institutes for an\nadditional week due to global COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The decision was announced following the\nadvice from the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of National Emergency Operation\nCentre (NEOC) in respect to the rapid global spread of COVID-19 and to mitigate\nthe possibility of such rapid spread in Maldives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President further instructed all\ninstitutions to continue services with minimum number of staff encouraging all\nstaff who are able to work from to home to do so to ensure the timely delivery\nof crucial services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Solih appealed to all Maldivians\nto practise social distancing and to remain home noting it is the most\nimperatives step to reduce the risk of community spread.
