Addu\nCity Council has terminated the initial announcement stating changes brought to\nbusiness hours in Addu City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ncity council released a notice today stating the termination of the initial\nannouncement released on March 25 to change business hours of all restaurants,\ncafes\u2019 and shops from 0600hrs to 1800hrs. The council said the initial\nannouncement was released as a safety precaution against the global COVID-19\npandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ncouncil appreciated the public and business vendors for following the\ninstructions and orders of the council. The initial announcement was terminated\nafter a tweet from Health Protection Agency (HPA) stating no local councils\nwere given instructions to change business hours in any area other than Greater\nMale\u2019 Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However,\nthe city council appealed to the public to continue following the changes as\nper the initial announcement during the State of Public Health Emergency\ndeclared in Maldives in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
