Former Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof has also expressed his interest in contesting for the MDP ticket for mayorship of Mal\u00e9 City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Former Mayor of Mal\u00e9, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was sworn in as the President of the Maldives on 17th November 2023, leaving the post of mayor vacant.
