Former Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon has urged World Leaders to bring an end to the Palestine genocide, instead of staying silent as hundreds are killed daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a series of tweets on Sunday, the former minister had urged to bring a stop to the ethnic cleansing by Israel. She further described Israel as an occupying force, that has occupied Palestine for over 75 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIsrael has also bombed a hospital and a church. There is endless killing of children, babies, women and men. World Leaders have refused to hear the calls of their public about this ongoing genocide,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dunya also released a video statement, in which she further urged World Leaders to bring an end to this \u201cunacceptable situation where many lives are being lost daily\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Dunya continues to be vocal about the ongoing genocide and lending her voice to amplify the cries of Palestinian people, the recent comments about Israel\u2019s genocide by former Foreign Minister Ahmed Shaheed has landed him in hot water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shaheed had recently expressed his solidarity with Israel, demanding for immediate condemnation of the freedom fighters in occupied Palestine. While the general public has heavily criticised Shaheed\u2019s stand on the situation, Dunya noted that it is an unequal thing when you have years of occupation and inhumane treatment to account for on the side of Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hundreds of thousands marched in solidarity with Palestine over the weekend in the UK, while the death toll in Gaza has climbed to over 4,000 since October 7.
